Taking Back The Streets: Lamp Post Turns Into Giant Umbrella When It Rains

For everyone but Gene Kelly, it's a drag being caught in the rain. Russian designer Mikhail Belyaev has an idea that will make our streets more comfortable for pedestrians in inclement weather: an automatic umbrella that deploys from lamp posts.

Lampbrella - is a street lamp with umbrella. Can be installed anywhere in the city, where many people walk, but there are no canopies or large trees where you can hide from the rain.

A lovely idea, because streets are for people. More on the Behance Network.
