Or, you need a lot less space for parking if people are on bikes.

Have we mentioned that cars not only take up a lot of room when moving, but that they take up a lot of space when parked? Indeed, we have! We have noted that there are 800 million parking spaces in America (probably more since the post was written), that many states have 3.5 times as many parking spaces as they actually have cars. But now we can see it graphically, as Clever Cities shows us this neat little video demonstrating how little space bikes, cargo bikes, and even big delivery bikes actually take up, compared to cars. Historian John Lloyd calls it a "perfect illustration of the spatial inefficiency of the automobile."
