Photographer Hannah Stonehouse Hudson captured this moment when her friend John Unger waded with his dog Schoep in the waters of Lake Superior. Schoep suffered from severe arthritis, and these gentle soaks eased the pooch's aches and pains. The photo portrayed the deep bond between a man and his dog. In fact, Unger credited Schoep with saving his life as he battled from a deep depression almost 20 years ago. "He saved me that night, and I could only do my very best for him after that," he said in an interview with his local news station, KARE11. Unger did his very best for the pup until the moment of Schoep's death in 2013. It was a devastating loss for Unger. But earlier this week, he proved that it's always possible to find love again, with this photo and post on Facebook: Post by Schoep and John. According to Unger, the moment he first laid eyes on his new pup, it was love at first sight for both of them. And while they are still getting to know each other, they have already begun to form a strong connection. Unger and Bear, we wish many, many wonderful years together!
