Packed with various features for gardening, storage and leisure, German designer Nils Holger Moormann has designed a kind of multifunctional shed unit that he's called Walden (no doubt inspired by Henry David Thoreau's environmental treatise of the same name). Walden is a shed where you can do it all: store your pruning shears and firewood, grill something up on the barbecue, or just sit down and enjoy a meal.
Everything is within reach here, and Walden is full of nice little surprises like a built-in birdhouse, and a ladder that goes up to an upper level -- giving a great view of the stars at night.
Instead of a boxy scheme, Walden streamlines everything into a narrower footprint, and adds a second level for a better view. Modern sheds are all about versatility and fun in a small package, and this design has these in spades. More over at Nils Holger Moormann.
