Less is more when it comes to Guillem Ferran's latest collection of furniture he is presenting this week at the Valencia Design Week. Simple Rustic consists of 4 solid wood pieces that are totally screw-less and manufactured locally in Spain. According to the designer he manages to do this while competing with IKEA's prices and ease of shopping.

All products are available via the Simple Rustic web site thought-out Spain for a fixed price that includes flat-pack transportation. A Stool for 23€, a bench for 40€ or table legs for 28€ is indeed a very fair price for such well-made products that come delivered to your doorstep (if you live in Spain). The products are sturdy, timeless and made from certified wood from Les Guilleries, the Catalan mountains where the products are manufactured. Having designed the products, Ferran is also the creative director of this new brand of furniture that sets out to revive the wood manufacturing industry in Catalonia. It was the designer's idea to sell the products directly via a web site to reduce costs as well as transportation.
