Modern-Shed Best Design at CA | Boom II

Ryan Grey Smith of Modern-Shed in Seattle has put together what I think should win best design in show at CA| Boom II. Ryan took the humble shed and created a practical, functional, portable, long-lasting, good looking, space. Pictures don’t quite give justice to the pleasant profile and comfortable feel of the place. The Modern-Shed combines long lasting materials, flat ship design, and for the deluxe model with a price point around $120 per foot, you can have a fully finished office in your backyard by next weekend.Modern-Shed is equally at home as a good looking shed for tools, sports equipment, garage overflow or a fully equipped office with insulated walls and wall chases to run computer connections. The Modern-Shed comes in a variety of sizes and options, depending on the intended use. One of the most impressive things is that you can disassemble it and take it with you when you move! The one I saw at CA | Boom II had french doors, and a new offer – a deck. It would make a perfect boathouse for a kayak, or even a bunk house/guest room for your friends.

The units are pre-built, panelized, and all parts are fully finished and pre-drilled. They are shipped flat, and delivery is available anywhere. Ryan confesses that two people can make this a weekend project, and have time to spare for beer. The quality of materials and the finished product is what impressed me most. It really is a shed that could last a lifetime, and I think that is the goal of Modern-Shed. ::Modern-Shed ::Grey Design Studio
