TreeHugger loves transformer furniture, designs that serve more than one function. We have shown a lot of chairs and sofas that turn into beds, but Russian designer Elena Siderova adds an interesting twist: It's big and chunky with enough room in it to store pillows and bedding.
The designer explains:
Flop is an armchair which folds out to a sleeping place for 1 person. It has construction made of veneer and upholstery made of 100% sheep wool material. The sleeping place has elastic straps as a base. Mattress and pillow storage is inside.
It's one of those designs that require work; if you come home late and tired you have to unfold your bed, get the mattress and pillows out and make it. But it's quite small and the storage is a real virtue. Found on Contemporist.
