Bin Solutions: Sink your Teeth into That, Racoons!
Sometimes Treehugger posts are easy- this one almost ran us down last night. In Toronto, we have grey boxes, blue boxes and the new green boxes for compostable materials, which are a huge success at reducing the amount of garbage we export to our friends in Michigan. Unfortunately we also have a growing rat population and thousands of very smart racoons, who figured out how to open the green bins within a week. To deal with this, Zion Shraiter and Srul Levy developed an attractive cedar box to keep this all in order and keep out the dreaded racoons, and a neat looking trailer to deliver them. This is a terrific, entrepreneurial response to a big problem in our city, and they earn serious hugs.::Bin Solutions
