Having just warmed up to my Autumn staple -- the blazer -- I'm wishing I could spring ahead to Spring/Summer 2010 fashion for Everlasting Hope's collection of casual and comfortable t-shirt dresses, pleated shorts, jumpsuit shorts, cropped skinny jeans, and more. The ethical Brooklyn-based clothing brand works with sustainable and certified organic fabrics to create garments made in fair-trade factories without compromising their trendy-modern aesthetic.

Everlasting Hope's color scheme for Spring 2010 incorporates plaid, neutrals -- tan, white, shell, pebble, grey, brown, pale peach, plum -- accented with teal, coral, and cobalt for dresses and tops paired with indigo and denim bottoms. Their collection includes t-shirt dresses, jumpsuit shorts, high-waisted shorts, cropped skinny jeans -- made with recycled and/or organic cotton, and lyocel.

As a brand Everlasting Hope is committed to using certified organic and sustainable fabrics and non-toxic ink for their USA-made organic jersey tees. Garments are produced in certified fair trade factories under ethical working conditions. Clothing tags and paper are printed on 50% FSC certified/50% recycled paper with waterless ink. And when possible they use factory-escess buttons, recycled fabric, and strive to be environmentally responsible in the manufacturing process.

Summer Staple: Jumpsuit Shorts

Looks like I found my staple for Summer -- jumpsuit shorts. Rather than investing in a top and a bottom this look covers both. The cut is subtle yet sexy and with the right accesories -- vegan heels and ocean inspired jewelry -- it makes the transition from day to night.
