This past week organic apparel brand Hessnatur announced that Eviana Hartman, the Ecco Domani Sustainable Design Award-winner and designer behind Bodkin, will design a thirteen-piece collection, Hessnatur by Eviana Hartman for fall 2010. The fall 2010 collection marries Hessnatur's sustainable textiles with Eviana's modern yet functional design aesthetic. More on the pieces from Hessnatur, below.
The thirteen-piece collection includes modular pieces for all body types. These pieces were designed to offer a cool, modern twist on the everyday wardrobe essentials that every woman wants and needs. Eviana created the perfect winter coat of dense yet lightweight pure virgin boiled wool, inspired by the classic motorcycle jacket; an ultra long and slim crew neck sweater with rib sleeves and a center back seam; an equestrian-inspired patchwork leggings of contrasting panels of ribbed and non-ribbed, ultra-thick and body-shaping jersey.
Eviana says, "I love pieces that are extremely useful but elevated by unusual silhouette and detail."
Included in the collection are several pieces that provide multiple uses. The pure wool and cashmere oversized cardigan is an exaggerated take on the classic that drapes on the body, and can be worn asymmetrically, as a tunic, or even as a scarf.
