Fashion and Sustainability: Wearing Social Change Conference

Who knew that Yale would become such a hotbed of enviro-design action? First a Sustainable Design degree, and now a conference exploring the apparel industry's potential shift to less overwhelmingly toxic and taxing production. Wearing Social Change will feature Nike Considered, the insights of smaller scale sustainable textiles pioneer Harmony Susalla, and Serge Gheldere of Futureproof/ed eco-design. Curious about the impact of industry practices, the role of the consumer in driving change, or whether shoppers and designers will soon shrug off eco fashion like so many offending shoulder pads? Pull out those Worn Agains, and grab a train to New Haven. April 5-7. Via Jeffrey Warren. :: Wearing Social Change
