Our parent company Planet Green has given the greenlight for The John Patrick Show, a six-episode series featuring the fashion designer's eponymous line, John Patrick Organic. The show is set to premiere in early 2011 and will appear in thirty minute blocks on Planet Green's primetime programming block, Verge. Expect episodes that capture pre-Fashion Week pressure in Manhattan to the challenges in developing a sustainable and ethical fashion label.
Our big boss Laura Michalchyshyn, general manager of Planet Green, had this to say on The John Patrick Show:
John Patrick offers a rare, fresh approach to the fashion world, satisfying the fashion fix and curiosity of conscious consumers and style mavens alike. The John Patrick Show is vicarious peek into the perils, triumphs and payoffs of this industry from the viewpoint of John Patrick--a bona fide innovator and unforgettable personality who is reshaping the traditional notion of fashion.
John Patrick will post weekly blog posts over at our sister site PlanetGreen.com on sustainable design throughout the series' run. Don't miss John Patrick Organic's fall 2010 collection at New York Fashion Week.
