Eco-Friendly Slippers from Acorn

We've brought you a few pairs of eco-friendly toasties to warm your tootsies on TreeHugger like By Nature's organic cotton slippers, Emilianas' one-piece felt slippers and who can forget the Brightfeet LED slippers. Now we're bringing you some new comfort from one of our favorite companies, Acorn, whose motto is "Comfort on Earth." The "Renew" slippers have natural, biodegradable uppers made mostly of hemp (which is naturally resistant to bacteria) with a bit of wool and yak down as well. The lining is made from an organic cotton/hemp terrycloth blend that lines the insole making the slippers soft and comfy. As with many of the Acorn styles, they have skid-resistant tread for walking outside to take the garbage out or get the morning paper. We could only fine them for women and they have an open-toed option as well. Available at Via ::Yankee Magazine ::Acorn
