1. Leighton Meester and Alicia Silverstone Slip Into Stewart & BrownStewart & Brown is one of those green fashion brands that gets us excited, which is why we are keen to see celebrities have also taken note. Their clothing is made from organic cotton, tencel gauze, hemp silk charmeuse, hemp jersey, linen, and fine Mongolian cashmere, which is culled from a co-op that helps nomads in the region sustain their centuries-old practices.
Here Leighton Meester, of "Gossip Girl" fame, wears the Faye Silky Vest; it's made with 100% silky merino wool at, what Stewart & Brown calls, a "green factory" in China, and is fair trade. Alicia Silverstone has also been spotted wearing the sustainable fashion brand. She chose the Gathered Slip Dress which is 100% organic tissue cotton, grown without the use of pesticides or herbicides, and made in the USA.

Livia Firth, wife of English Actor Colin Firth, has been a proponent of green fashion since her self-proclaimed Green Carpet Challenge, when she wore all green fashion designers on the red carpet during awards season.
Here she appears at the pre-Oscar parties rocking what she calls, an "ethical punk look." Her "Willa" jacket is Mr. Larkin by designer Casey Larkin. According to the label, it is "made with 60% cotton and 40% nylon (designed to be reused), and lined with organic cotton/silk." Livia has also paired the coat with a strand of metal beads recycled from the early forties in Japan, and a Made skull necklace.
