Candice Batista, of Rogers TV's A Greener Toronto, will emcee the event, which includes a runway show with top Canadian designers, AIME by Monica Mei, CARRIE by Carrie Hayes, Thieves by Sonja den Elzen, and Rachel Jasmine Chan headlining. Each designer will show three designs: casual, dress, and one made from non-conventional materials--newspaper, waste, everyday recycled items. Student designers will compete and their looks will be judged by Fashion Takes Action Founder Kelly Drennan, Toronto Fashion Incubator News Managing Editor Gail McInnes, and Canadian film and television star Amanda Brugel.

Aiden Abram, of 2degreesC Inc., is the featured guest speaker who is organizing global youth participation for the UN Climate Change Conference Copenhagen 2009 in December. Efforts will be made to reduce environmental impact, including hair and makeup by Agency Vert, a sustainably designed set and runway, and organic beer and wine.
