With all eyes focused on Copenhagen this week--the Climate Change Conference starts tomorrow(!)--the Danish fashion industry took the opportunity to showcase green design with "Innovating Sustainable Fashion" show on December 3, Sidsel Godshaw Moller and Marie Sauer-Johansen of the COP15 blog report:The fashion show, organized by the Center for Responsible Design in cooperation with Copenhagen Fashion Fair, featured 19 collections--narrowed down from more than 60 sustainable design entries. Prizes were awarded in three categories: Design For Inclusion, Design Considering Use, and Design For Environment.

Hear from Danish Design School student, Karin Eggert Hansen, on her rainwear collection made with recycled PET and Peter Dammand, teacher at the Danish Design School, speak to the future of green design in the video, above. All designs will be exhibited at the Danish Design Center from December 8 until January 31.::COP15 Blog
