Calling all young fashion entrepreneurs. This is your chance to get yourselves in the fashion industry spotlight. The UK non profit organisation the Ethical Fashion Forum launches its Innovation Competition tomorrow - April 22nd. This is the fourth season for the EFF awards, with previous winners including Christopher Raeburn (pictured above, Julia Smith and MIA (pictured overleaf). The competition celebrates social and environmental innovation in fashion design and is open to all designers who have been in business for less than 3 years. The Ethical Fashion Forum say: " The competition aims to inspire and motivate a new generation of design leaders to integrate sustainability at the core of what they do, and in turn to become inﬂuential in relation the the sustainability of the industry overall."
As a winner of an EFF Innovation Award you will be offered an opportunity to show your label at the Pure tradeshow in August 2009 and at Estethica in September 2009 as part of London Fashion Week. In addition to this winners will benefit from widespread press coverage, introductions to buyers and business support from a consultancy team.
The judging panel is made up of high profile industry experts including: Anna Orsini, Head of London Fashion Week, Dilys Williams, Director of Sustainable Fashion, London College of Fashion and Hilary Alexander, Fashion Director, The Daily Telegraph. You have from tomorrow, Wednesday April 22nd, til Friday 29th May to get your applications in front of their eagle eyes.
