Beat the Christmas Rush: Celebrate Chanukah
Photo: modern tribe
Chanukah, the Jewish holiday, comes early this year, so there are some frantic shoppers out there already. Here is a little guide to some green and special presents, just in time for the first night of the holiday which takes place on the first of December.
There are many charities doing wonderful things. Just £10 will provide books for children in Sierra Leone and £37 will provide a donkey. And there are lots of interesting, unique and sustainable presents to be found.
For the Girls:
Who could resist these delicious print undies. Made out of upcycled star design cotton, with a matching side ribbon, the print is from Liberty. There are lots of camisoles and robes as well.
This reasonably priced peacock feather bracelet would look great with any outfit.
For the Boys:
What little boy wouldn't want this recycled dump truck? It's recycled and eco-friendly, and would be a great help in the sand box or at the beach.
For the Naturalist:
This beehive and insect habitat will provide hours of interest, and maybe even some honey if you are lucky. Designed specifically to attract non-swarming bees which are naturally attracted to holes in wood.
Chase away the blues and make any outfit look hip. A jaunty red fair-trade fedora made of soft wool felt.
