We've all heard of the super-star architects, but spare a thought for the unknown super-star engineers. Who? Number one has to be Ove Arup, the Danish engineer behind Paris's Pompidou Centre, Sydney's famous Opera House and more. Calling him "the most influential engineer of the 20th century", London's Victoria & Albert Museum is showing a retrospective of his work.
