A Grand Vision

In the Victorian era, British engineers and architects built much of the modern world, with ships, rail and buildings. Now Lord Foster wants to do it again, with a grand vision for reinventing transportation:

We need to recapture the foresight and political courage of our 19th century forebears if we are to establish a modern transport and energy infrastructure in Britain for this century and beyond.

He has teamed up with Halcrow, an infrastructure planning consultancy, and Volterra Partners, economists, and have done this on their own dime.
