Photographer captures the tenacity of nature in Hong Kong

“I started this project in early 2013 around March,” Jacquet-Lagrèze told TreeHugger. “At that time I was working on some other photo project and one day while I was shooting in Mong Kok (the busiest district of the city), I stumbled upon one tree growing on a residential building.”

This photo, shown above, was the first in the series. “I was very surprised by the way it was growing in between buildings without touching the ground, it was like suspended in the air.”
