Grow House Grow crafts hand-printed wallpaper in Brooklyn. Illustrator Katie Deedy is inspired by narratives, so each of her designs tells a unique story. The design shown here is called “Voynich,” and is part of a collection of papers inspired by old books. Deedy explained that the design is inspired by a 1400s document called The Voynich Manuscript, which is full of untranslatable words that appear to be non-sense, and is richly illustrated with otherworldly botanicals.
Her paper supplier uses responsibly-sourced fibers and is chlorine-free. Because the patterns are silkscreened by hand, there’s no wasted ink.
