Through the ebb and flow of the modern prefab movement during the past decade, there have been vaporware prefabs, zombie prefabs, and dead prefabs. Yet among the noise, every few months, a notable project pops first-wave prefab architect Geoffrey Warner of Alchemy Architects. From the iconic Arado weeHouse, designed in 2003, to the latest 2010 versions, these miniature beauties continue to evolve as efficient, green designs that have resisted middle-age spread. Largely that's due to Warner's unflagging philosophy: "The greenest square foot is the one you don't build."
