How could we not start our coverage of the AIA/COTE top ten green projects with the Terry Thomas Building. When we first wrote about it, we titled our post "Smart Architect Builds Dumb Building" because that is what it is- a new building that does what old buildings did. Lots of natural light, ventilation, attractive circulation, shading on windows. (see also Everything New Is Old Again) As the AIA says, "they have created an experimental and educational tool for promoting sustainable design."
