What can one say about a show that attracts 23,000 green building professionals across the border to Toronto? It could only be Greenbuild, the grand spectacle put on by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). This is its tenth year, the first outside the USA, and Toronto was sunny and warm and, I hope, welcoming.
The show is a mix of seminars and lectures, sometimes with four you want to see running at the same time, and the biggest trade show I have ever seen.
As noted earlier, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) is divided into two parts; the older, smaller above grade part shown above, and the newer underground southern part, about twice the size of what is shown here. It is a schlep getting between the two; this is a view from the upper walkway.
