It's amazing what can be done with the pesky landfill-hogging PET bottle. To up the ante, throw in some energy-efficient LEDs. The Narrative Augmented Reality Chandelier--a.k.a. the NARC01--is designed by Julius Kranefuss with coding and microchip design by Wennpu Pan and Hon Tat Lau for Die ZweiDrei. Made of recycled PET bottles embedded with LEDs, the chandelier is motion-sensitive, reacting to motion with light sensors translated into light impulses. It was one tech-savvy green product showcased in the "My Bauhaus is Better Than Yours" exhibition, featuring 12 young designers from Germany's Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
