The Czech Republic’s pavilion is made from a pre-fab structure, which will be dismantled and re-used after the Expo ends in October. In front, there’s a shallow wading pool featuring a large sculpture of a hybrid bird/plane/car. Lukas Rittstein created the piece, which according to the artist's statement, “represents the co-existence of technology and nature, and conveys a stark reminder: as it hurtles courageously towards the future, humankind will always be a passenger, with nature in the driving seat.”
