Nau: Stalac Tights, $54

These tights are made with a blend of organic cotton, Tencel, and spandex to make them soft, breathable, and slightly stretchy. The Tencel is made from sustainably grown eucalyptus trees in China and processed in a closed-loop system that recovers 98 percent of materials used.

Nau defends its choice to manufacture clothes in China because “Asian manufacturers have become the experts in working with the most modern textiles and technologies, [and] also produce some of the highest quality workmanship at competitive prices.” By using third party monitoring of social and environmental conditions, Nau believes it can produce high-quality, sustainable, and ethical clothing.
