Photographer Don Quintana writes:

This was the first time I had seen such a large flock of yellow-headed blackbirds. Usually I had seen one or two intermixed with red-winged blackbirds or I see a mélange of starlings, red-wing, yellow-headed, and Brewers blackbirds murmuring about the refuge in large numbers. So, this was an exceptional sighting in my books. I counted roughly about 160 in this flock.

Exceptional, indeed! Especially that one red-winged blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) who sneaked into the crowd. The shot was taken at the Merced Merced National Wildlife Refuge in California.
