Coniah Boda photographed this gray jay (Perisoreus canadensis) at the Grand Mesa National Forest in Colorado. According to The Cornell Lab of Ornithology, these birds nest in late winter, incubating their eggs in temperatures as low as negative 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
