Our photo contributor identified these bright little growths as Hemitrichia calyculata. “Gone after one day,” Corrie White writes. “Usually there is a common name for most mushrooms, but I'm having trouble getting much information about these. They are a slime mould and very tiny. These were on a stump in a very wet area, and I had a lot of trouble getting a shot of them.”
