Donald Quintana took this photo of a Lazuli Bunting (Passerinea amoena) in Los Osos, California. “Having been trapped in front of my computer for what seems like weeks now, I was jonesing for an opportunity to go out and photograph something,” he writes. “A quick trip out to Turri Road produced several Lazuli Buntings. I felt rusty having not been out much as of lately and so I think the birds were feeling sorry for me. This one posed nicely giving me the chance to take its portrait.”
