Male Eurasian bullfinches (Pyrrhula pyrrhula) have bright red bellies like this one, while the females have tan or buff coloring. They’re found throughout Europe and in parts of Asia, and may also be called the common bullfinch. Our contributor Timm Jensen photographed this one in a Danish garden.
