Some of the explanations in the book are very basic, and depending on how much you remember from classes like high school biology, can feel like they’re intended for children. In fact, the book would be great for curious nature-loving kids. Yet the illustrations are beautiful and detailed enough to hold the attention of adults, particularly if you’re a newcomer to the fields of botany and entomology, like me.
