The desert is an inescapably beautiful place. The extreme temperatures, sandy dunes, and expansive landscape is at once primal and otherworldly. A trip into one of the world's great deserts, even if only for a short time, is the adventure of a lifetime.

Everyday for weeks, photographer Ladislav Kamarad rose before dawn and traveled alone into the deserts of Namibia to capture these incredible photographs.
