Rebecca Jackrel has traveled the world documenting wildlife, but has focused her effort on documenting disappearing species, from Tasmanian devils to polar bears to manatees and most recently, the Ethiopian Wolf.

Jackrel's current project revolves around photographing a species of wolf found only in the highlands of Ethiopia, and with the encroachment of humans as well as changes arriving with a shift in global temperatures, is on the precipice of extinction. Fewer than 450 of these wolves survive today, and Jackrel's Ethiopian Wolf Project is working hard to raise funds and awareness for the Ethiopian Wolf Conservation Programme, which is tracking and studying these wolves.
