One of the greatest virtues of prefabricated modular construction is that you can build off-site and deliver an almost finished product to places that are difficult to get to, that have no trades or even a hardware store when you need a couple of nails. But it apparently is, with access by private ferry, just 116 permanent residents, no services, water, or electricity. Helen Brown tells Sanctuary Magazine that "it's Australia's remotest place within an hour of a major city."
