Maple Balsamic Dressing

Who doesn’t love a dash of maple syrup? This dressing is somewhat fancier than basic balsamic, but it’s still quick to make and delicious drizzled over salad, steamed or roasted vegetables, or grilled fish. It comes via Food52 by contributor sticksnstones, who suggests giving it as a gift in a glass jar, along with some homemade croutons. Yum!

Recipe:

1
tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp maple syrup
2
 tbsp soy sauce
1
 tsp minced shallot
1/2
tsp minced garlic
1
tsp Dijon mustard
1
 cup extra-virgin olive oil
salt and pepper, to taste

In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, soy sauce, shallot, garlic and mustard. Add salt and pepper. While continuing to whisk, gradually add the olive oil until it is all incorporated. Makes 1 cup.
