Chris Anderson, the editor in chief of Wired Magazine, has left his job. Why? To run a start-up company building drones. Why? Because it's the future. If you doubt that and think drones are still relegated to science fiction, then I remind you: Chris Anderson, [former] editor in chief of Wired Magazine, thinks drones are the future. If it's come to that, then it means we need to look seriously at just what a future full of drones looks like. And from our perspective, it looks like a lot of metal bugs and birds. Here's nine drone technologies improving on external design or internal workings that all take inspiration from the natural world.
