How prescient are these Canadian museums? In the midst of the worst winter in memory we had a show on pioneer women in winter and now we have Snow. The Canadian Museum of Civilization in Ottawa has a new exhibition on how snow has shaped the Canadian identity. With more than 250 artifacts on view, you will definitely get the cold and frosty picture.
Here are a few of the items to be seen. This hooked rug, made by a Quebecois woman, is a lovely detail of the maple sugar harvest which takes place in February and March.
