Yesterday's Bella Center activities were relatively staid, with up to two-hour queues for entry the norm. There were a few activist events and the opening plenary, but nothing groundbreaking. Well, day two saw demonstrations outside the venue, a constant stream of activist stunts inside and ended with a loud African protest that winded its way through the the conference center.

Here, as people awaiting accreditation stood in the damp cold, they were made well aware the impact of vegetarian diet on preventing climate change. Something worth heading, even if you don't buy into anything else Supreme Master Ching Hai has to say...
