While Saturday may have brought the world's largest climate change demonstration to the streets of Copenhagen, just the night before a much smaller yet no less inspiring torch-lit march paraded through the streets. This time it was for interfaith unity on climate change. Marchers visited Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist and Christian houses of worship and learned, to some present's surprise, that each can cite strong reverence for the environment.
At the Buddhist center Ani Tenzin Trolkar led the group in a guided meditation on how to build more compassion in your life, how to transform thoughts away from feelings of anger and jealousy and towards more light-filled emotions -- and then project these from yourself.
