We could list off the considerable amount of interesting a creative campaigns that Avaaz kicked off that really helped define the NGO presence during the first week of COP15 (before everyone was kicked out...), but above all, the thing that makes this organization stand out is the breadth of their activities, such as spoofing ExxonMobil "clean-energy" ads and protesting while dressed up as trees at COP15 (pictured). Giving equal weight to environmental and social justice, Avaaz brings together movements that, at least in the past few years, weren't always connected but at least to me are inherently interlinked.
