2. Organize your kitchen
Do a thorough clean-out of the fridge, freezer, and pantry before school season hits hard. Wipe everything clean, toss out old food, and use up items long forgotten in the freezer. This is a good thing to do in conjunction with menu planning. Reorganize the pantry and transfer food from bags to clear containers for better viewing and accessibility. (Tupperware works, but I’m hooked on oversized glass jars because they’re plastic-free and beautiful.) Create a shopping list for staples that are missing and will make meal prep easier. Arrange kid snacks at eye level so they can help themselves and assist with packing their lunches.
