After a storm hit Tennessee last Sunday and Nashville saw record-shattering rainfall, the Cumberland River swelled to overflowing and the city experienced an epic flood. Even the iconic Opry House wasn't spared. The waters are finally receding, and residents are taking stock of the damage, but photographers were out recording the flood levels during and immediately following the flood.
These images showing Nashville underwater also reveal the size of the effort needed to repair damage.
