But for Tara Binn, it’s quite a common occurrence. She’s been operations manager at Georgia-Pacific’s Eugene, Oregon, plant for the past three years. And she’s only 30 years old. But while Binn knows she’s younger than many of her colleagues – all of whom are male, and some of whom report to her – she has made it her mission to break the stereotypes she’s encountered and “inspire the next generation of women,” she said. How does she do that? By staying true to herself – right down to the steel-toe boots she straps on every day.
