Sara Novak is a journalist and writer who specializes in public health, global health, science, and food policy. From 2005-2012, she wrote for TreeHugger, extensively reporting on child nutrition, genetically modified foods, and public policy. 




Sara Novak is a journalist and writer who specializes in food policy and health writing. Her work has been featured on Popular Science,, TLC, Animal Planet, What to Expect, Organic Authority, EcoSalon, Naturally Savvy, and Zax Health. After graduating from the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia, Novak headed the communication efforts for a national scholarship program in Washington, D.C. Novak has also handled copy writing and public relations for a global environmental consulting firm. She is currently the parenting columnist at The Post and Courier and managing editor of The Post and Courier’s parenting magazine, Lowcountry Parent.
