Environmental Science and Policy, Climate Crisis
Barnard College, Goldsmiths, University of London, University of Cambridge
Rosane was working as a bookseller in New York City when she decided she wanted to put her love of words together with her love of the natural world. She earned her Masters in Art and Politics in 2017 with a project that imagined a community surviving in post-climate-change London. Since then, she has been writing about environmental themes full-time.
Rosane describes herself as passionate about literature, the environment, the intersection of culture and technology, and organizing with others to create meaningful social change. Her various jobs reflect these diverse interests. For four years Rosane worked at the Strand Bookstore in Manhattan, selling books and organizing with unionized coworkers to ensure fair compensation for retail workers. She has blogged and written for several online publications, including The State, Real Life magazine, and IndieReader, and now covers environmental news for EcoWatch, as well as Treehugger.
Rosane has a BA in English and Creative Writing from Barnard College, a Masters in Art and Politics from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Cambridge.
