Tourists save shark babies from their dead mother

The last thing a group of tourists in Cape Town, South Africa expected to come across was a dead shark on the beach. Even more surprising was the movement within the shark's belly - she was pregnant.

In a feat of quick thinking and precise cutting, a man knifed his way into the shark's belly and pulled out a shark baby, whipping its tail for dear life. Shortly after, two more babies were cut to safety and brought to the ocean.

Baby sharks are equipped to take on the ocean as soon as they're born - they've even got a full set of teeth - so the chances of survival of the three lucky sharks rescued this week are fairly decent.
