Field & Stream is famous for its photo galleries featuring the biggest fish, bucks and other creatures caught and shot in the outdoors. The magazine has rounded up 25 of its best galleries to end the year, including:
- Extreme aerial bowfishing of Asian carp, with footage of a jumper that broke a woman's jaw in Illinois;
- The story of a 23-year-old woman who killed an 11-foot alligator with a crossbow in Florida;
- Scantily-clad women catching 100-pound catfish in European rivers;
- Airplanes dropping trout from the sky to stock high mountain lakes in Colorado.
And that's just a sampling.
Field & Stream bills itself as the world's leading outdoor website, and also publishes a magazine.
Some folks may be turned off by these pictures, because they showcase hunting trophies. Others will say that hunters are the original conservationists. After all, you have to care about protecting the environment if you want to get out and experience it, right?
